Parenting & Family
If you’re having trouble communicating with your children, your home may feel chaotic and tense. There are many reasons you might want to try counseling to improve your parenting and communication skills.
Despite what your social media feed may tell you, all families go through tough times. No parent has it all figured out. In the digital age, it’s easy to broadcast our best moments to the world. All over our timelines, we see lots of happy, smiling families going on fun vacations and having a blast together. When we only see a small slice of their lives, it looks like these other families have everything together.
No family or home environment is perfect. Even if it seems like those around us have it all figured out, the likelihood is that everyone struggles or wants to change something at home.

Immigration Evaluations
An immigration psychological evaluation is a professional assessment of the mental health and capability of an individual seeking to immigrate to the U.S. It is used to help immigration courts decide if a person should remain in the United States. The evaluation documents mental health conditions as well as how deportation would affect the individual and his or her family.
Why do I need an immigration evaluation? Psychological evaluations are usually required for a hardship waiver, U-Visa, VAWA, and asylum cases. Your immigration attorney will refer you (and maybe your whole family) for an evaluation, as needed.
Some topics we might cover include:
- Past trauma or difficulties
- Any previous mental health diagnoses
- Your current situation
- Your plans for the future
- Your support system in the U.S.
